He was in a group Septic Boiler, which later became Dark Tranquility.
His group Dark Tranquility is one of the oldest bands in the genre, and the pioneers of a new melodic style of death metal.
He grew up near Gothenburg, Sweden.
He uses the same Flying V guitar as Uriah Heep's guitarist Mick Box.
