Niilo Sevanen
Metal Singer
Vocalist and bassist for the Finnish death metal band Insomnium. The band are best known for albums like 2006's "Above the Weeping World".
He began playing bass as a teenager in 1994 and became a member of the punk band Praise.
Though he has made his name in metal, he is influenced by rock musicians of all stripes, including Aerosmith and Queen.
His father worked in the Department of Literature at a local university.
He and Insomnium collaborated with Dark Tranquility vocalist Mikael Stanne on their 2010 track "Weather the Storm".
