Freestyle skier who won the bronze medal in the men's halfpipe event at the 2018 Winter Olympics. The feat made him just the third New Zealander, and the first male New Zealander, to medal at the Winter Olympics.
He began learning to ski in France when he was 4 years old. He began learning from a professional coach at age 6.
At age 14, he became the youngest person ever to successfully land a triple cork 1440.
He is the younger brother of fellow Olympic skier Miguel Porte.
He competed against skiers like Aaron Blunck at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
