Windsurfer who won a bronze medal at his first Olympics, in 2004, and a silver medal at the 2012 Games.
He won bronze at the 1998 Mistral Youth World Championships.
He won gold at the 2006 RS:X European Championships.
In 2008 he married yachtswoman Sarah Ayton, and he had his first child with her in 2009.
At the 2008 Olympics he narrowly missed out on a medal by finishing just behind Shahar Tzuberi.
