Classically trained cellist and vocalist for the folk rock band The Lumineers who became a member of the band in 2010.
She had just graduated college and was planning to become a teacher before responding to a Craiglist ad posted by Lumineers founders Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites in which they were requesting a cellist.
She and the Lumineers gained significant fame from the single "Ho Hey."
She was born in Denver, Colorado.
She is a their cellist like Luka Sulicof the band 2Cellos.
