Ney Matogrosso

Brazilian singer and composer who is best recognized for his countertenor voice. He is known for his popular singles "Sangue Latino", "Rosa de Hiroshima", and "Homem com H".
He moved to Rio de Janeiro in 1966 with the hopes of becoming an actor. Then in 1971, he joined the glam rock group Secos & Molhados. He started his solo career in the late 1970's when he released songs suchb as "Pecado" and Seu Tipo".
He is also known for having served in the Brazilian Air Force at the age of 17.
He was born and raised in Bela Vista, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil.
He collaborated with fellow composer Ary Barroso on the song "Aquarela do Brasil".
