She was married to Canadian actor Jeff Colt from 1995 to 1998 and English actor John Light from 2007 to 2010. Then in August 2012, she had her first child, a son named Caspian, with actor JJ Feild.
She played Patrick Dempsey's character's sister on the hit series Grey's Anatomy.
