Most well known for bringing to life Scottish maiden Laoghaire MacKenzie on the hit television series Outlander. She would then join the cast of 2016's Victoria as Skerrett.
She earned a degree in acting from the Oxford School of Drama in 2012. She followed by making her screen debut in an episode of Holby City that same year.
A singer-songwriter, she toured with Jools Holland in 2014.
She has dated Will Taylor, the lead singer of the band Flyte.
While on Outlander, her character vied for the heart of Sam Heughan's character Jamie Fraser.
