Australian singer-songwriter who goes by the stage name Nai Palm and who has been the lead vocalist and guitarist for the future-soul band Hiatus Kaiyote. The band is known for albums like 2015's Choose Your Weapon and 2012's Tawk Tomahawk.
She worked as a fire dancer before joining Hiatus Kaiyote.
Her and her band's album Choose Your Weapon made it to the number 11 spot on the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
She has four siblings and lived in foster homes throughout her childhood.
Her band Hiatus Kaiyote was nominated for a Grammy for Best R&B Performance for their song "Nakamarra" in 2013, which featured rapper Q Tip.
