Country singer and the mother of Wynonna Judd and Ashley Judd. With her older daughter, Wynonna Judd (born Christina Ciminella), she formed a popular country vocal duo called The Judds.
She attended nursing school before deciding to go into show business.
Her vocal group The Judds scored fifteen #1 hit songs.
She married Michael Ciminella on January 3, 1964. Nearly two decades after their 1972 divorce, she wed Larry Strickland.
She stars alongside Andy Griffith in the 1999 film A Holiday Romance.
