Attacking midfielder who made his professional debut with 1899 Hoffenheim's reserve squad in 2014. He made his Bundesliga debut with the organization the following year.
He played youth soccer with a variety of clubs, including Ludwigshafener SC and Waldhof Mannheim.
In 2017, he won the UEFA European Under-21 Championship representing Germany.
His parents are of Afghan descent. His brother Nauwid Amiri and cousin Zubayr Amiri are also soccer players.
He has played alongside goalkeeper Oliver Baumann on 1899 Hoffenheim.
