Nadezhda Krupskaya
Political Wife
Wife of Bolshevik revolutionary Vladimir Lenin who she married in 1898. She was also in charge of Soviet education from 1929 to 1939.
She met Vladimir Ulyanov (who later changed his last name) at a political discussion circle.
She published a biography of Lenin's life before he came to power.
She and Lenin had no children together.
Like her husband, she was a strong believer in the economic theories of Karl Marx.
