Broadcast commentator for the Pittsburgh Steelers for 35 years. He was known as the voice of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He helped create the Terrible Towel.
He worked as a journalist for the Pennsylvania newspaper The Daily Times.
He was the first football commentator to be inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame.
He was married to Mildred Lindberg for 29 years and had three children.
He covered many games in which Terry Bradshaw played.
