Muhammad Yunus

Bangladeshi entrepreneur who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for founding the Grameen Bank and for his work in the fields of microcredit and microfinance.
He studied economics at Vanderbilt University, earning a Ph.D. in 1969.
In 2011, he co-founded Unus Social Business - Global Initiatives and in 2012, he became Chancellor of Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland.
He was married to Vera Forostenko, an opera singer, from 1970 and 1979.
He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006; Al Gore won it the following year.
