Dr. Alice Howland is a linguistics teacher at Columbia University who is diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. Alice and her family work together to keep her mind alive for as long as they can. 

Trivia

The film is based on Lisa Genova's novel of the same name. Julianne Moore won the Academy Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for her role as Alice.
