Barb and Star leave their small Midwestern town for the first time and set off on a cross country adventure. The film was directed by Josh Greenbaum from a screenplay written by Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo.

Trivia

Filming took place in Cancun and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with additional scenes filmed in New Mexico. Originally slated for a 2020 release, the film was delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
