Small town astronomer Sam is devastated when his childhood sweetheart and fiancé, Linda, leaves him for French chef Anton. He teams up with Maggie, Anton's vengeful ex-girlfriend, and the two plot to break up the new couple.

The majority of the filming took place in Greenwich Village, New York City. Some shooting was done in Centreville, Delaware and Swarthmore, Pennsylvania.
