After graduating from Hampton University with a BS in physics, she earned her Masters and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering at Drexel University. She then moved to California to begin working at JPL.
She remained friends with her cohorts from seasons 1-3 of King of the Nerds.
She got married in 2015. She has 9 other siblings.
