She attended Maranatha High School in Pasadena before finishing her senior year at Malibu High School in 2015.
She gained most of her following from a rap video she participated in that went viral on Worldstar.
She is the only child of Paul and Gina Yao. She married NBA player Malik Beasley in March 2020. In December 2020, she filed for divorce from Beasley.
She and Nadia Mejia both competed in Miss California 2016.
