She first became involved in cosplay when she was just thirteen years old. She went on to win numerous honors, including a 2008 DragonCon Best in Show Award and a 2012 Katsucon Judges' Award.

She grew up in Alpharetta, Georgia and studied industrial design at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She is close with her mother, Linda Lee.
