Accomplished journalist who rose through the ranks to become a national political correspondent for Time. Prior to joining the magazine, she wrote about United States politics for The Atlantic and Politico.
She earned her degree from Yale University.
She's the recipient of the Toner Prize for Excellence in Political Reporting and the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi Award.
Her husband David Kihara has worked as a senior editor for Politico. She has three children.
In 2007, she won $100,000 on Who Wants to be a Millionaire which has been hosted by Meredith Vieira.
