Mohammed Dewji

Owner of MeTL Group, a Tanzanian conglomerate with an economic presence in over a dozen African countries. From 2005 to 2015 he served as a member of the Tanzanian Parliament.
He graduated from Georgetown University in 1998 with a bachelor's degree majoring in international business and finance, and a minor in theology.
In 2018, his net worth was estimated to be US $1.5 billion, making him Africa's youngest billionaire.
His parents are Zubeda and Gulamabbas Dewji. He has five siblings. He married Saira Dewji in 2009. They have three children.
In 2017 he spoke on a panel at the African Global Business Forum with Mahamudu Bawumia.
