Actress who is their for her roles throughout Japanese film and TV. She has earned popularity for her roles in the films Blue Spring Ride, Rage, and Evergreen Love, as well as the TV series Gunshi Kanbei and Toto Neechan.
She graduated from Hosei University with her undergraduate degree. She gained her first on-screen acting credit in 2007 on the TV series Kinpachi-sensei.
She won the 2017 Elan d'or Award for Newcomer of the Year. She had been previously named Newcomer of the Year at the 40th Japan Academy Prize
She was born and raised in Higashiōsaka, Osaka, Japan.
She provided the Japanese voice dub for Lily James' character in the 2015 Disney film Cinderella.
