Indian all-rounder who is widely recognized for her time as the captain of the Indian Women's cricket team. She represented her country at the 2000, 2005, 2009, 2013, and 2017 Women's Cricket World Cups.
She trained as a classical dancer for eight years.
In 2015, she was the recipient of India's Padma Shri award. She surpassed 5,500 ODI runs in 2017, the second woman ever to do so.
She is the daughter of Dorai Raj and Leela Raj.
She scored 214 runs in a Test match at the age of 19, surpassing Karen Rolton's world record of 209 not out.
