Olympic gymnast and gold medalist who was the only American to receive a perfect 10.00, at the 1984 games in Los Angeles.
In the same 1984 Olympics he helped the U.S. gymnastics team to gold, and won an individual silver and bronze.
He appeared in several films and TV shows, most notably as a stunt double in Batman Forever in 1995.
He was married twice and has four children.
Eight years and two Olympics before him, the Romanian Nadia Comaneci became the first competitor, male or female, to ever score a perfect 10.
