She and two other homicide victims, including her boyfriend, were killed in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2015.
Born in Sremska Mitrovica, Yugoslavia (later Serbia), she relocated to New York in the early 2000s to escape the political turmoil and violence in her native country.
She and Lenox Tillman appeared in the same cycle of America's Next Top Model.
