Mina Loy

Modernist poet, author, artist, and actress known for an avant-garde poetry collection entitled Songs to Joannes. Her other literary works include Insel (novel) and Lunar Baedecker (poems).
She was the daughter of a Hungarian-Jewish father and a British mother.
She was associated with an Italian social and artistic movement known as Futurism.
She married Stephen Haweis in 1903 and subsequently gave birth to three children. Following her divorce, Loy had love affairs with Filippo Marinetti and Giovanni Papini.
She met author Gertrude Stein in Paris; the two became lifelong friends.
