He fled Yugoslavia with his family during the Kosovo War. He migrated with them to Sydney, Australia in 2000.
He played for Australia's senior national team at the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He played for Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan's J1 League in 2017-2018.
