Hockey analyst known for his work on shows like "Hockey Night in Canada." Prior to his broadcasting career, he was a defenceman for the Boston Bruins for twelve years.
He played hockey at Colgate University before playing with farm team the Boston Braves in 1974.
As a player for the Bruins, he was suspended for eight games for removing a New York Rangers' fan's shoe and slapping him with it.
He has sons named Owen, Luke, Jack, Jake, and Patrick. He has daughters named Caitlin and Alison.
He and former NHL player Brett Hull have both been studio analysts on "NHL on NBC."
