Shortstop who was traded to the Miami Marlins along with Dee Strange-Gordon and Dan Haren in 2014. In 2019, he homered in three consecutive games while hitting from the leadoff spot, becoming the third player in Marlins' franchise history to accomplish the feat.
He was signed as a non-drafted free agent on November 24, 2005 by the Cincinnati Reds.
He made his Major League debut on June 6, 2014 as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
He married Mariana Rojas Gamboa, with whom he has a son named Aaron Elias.
His first career home run came against Max Scherzer on July 9, 2014.
