Hip hop artist who began his career in earnest in 2006 when he began rapping over NERD music. With that he first caught the attention of hip hop mogul Pharrell. His focus is on the lyricism and content of his raps, sometimes referring to it as poetry.
He attended Adlai E. Stevenson High School, where fellow hip hop recording artist Afrika Bambaataa went. He then began studying law at New York University before dropping the program in favor of pursuing a music career.
He is an artist and art enthusiast when he isn't recording his music. His Instagram features Banksy and other modern and powerful art.
He was born Mark Williams in the Bronx.
Big-time rapper Lupe Fiasco endorsed him on the radio in 2010.
