Irish independent politician who was elected to Dáil Éireann at the 2011 general election as a Teachta Dála for the Wexford constituency.
He was previously a Republic of Ireland football manager.
He was involved with a state television encounter with justice minister Alan Shatter which led to Shatter's resignation.
He was born at Wellington Bridge in Wexford as one of twelve children. He has four total children, two from a short-lived marriage and two from a relationship he had in the 1990s.
He made the surprise announcement that he was running an independent candidate in the general election while a guest on Tonight with Vincent Browne.
