Most well known for his portrayal of Robin of Loxley on ITV's hit 1980s series Robin of Sherwood, he is also notable for his work in the science fiction series The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne, as well as for his performance as Prince Michael of Moldavia on the ABC soap opera Dynasty.
He began his screen acting career in the early 1980s, initially appearing in episodes of The Gentle Touch and The Professionals.
A prolific stage performer, he appeared in London productions of (among other plays and musicals) Contact, Misery, Design for Living, and Aspects of Love.
Born Michael David Prince in Gloucestershire, England, he spent a portion of his youth in Iran and later relocated to London. He is the son of Kay and Derrick Prince.
He began his rise to prominence after acting in a Joseph Papp-directed production of The Pirates of Penzance at London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
