He began his professional career playing for the Diamondbacks' rookie affiliate team the AZL Diamondbacks.
He made his major league debut playing against the Baltimore Orioles on July 26, 2018 as a member of the Tampa Bay Rays.
He is a native of Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He lives with his wife, Maria, and their three children.
He recorded his first career major league hit facing Alex Cobb.
