English philosopher and political theorist who was known as one of the 20th century's most conservative thinkers.
He was in the British Army and fought against Nazi Germany.
He published his first book, titled Experience and its Modes, in 1933.
He was the son of Joseph Oakeshott.
He was a great influence on Margaret Thatcher.
