Michael McKillop

Paralympic middle distance runner from Northern Ireland who won gold medals in the T37 classification at the 2008 and 2012 Paralympic Games. He set a world record in the 800 meter event at the 2011 IPC Athletics World Championships with a time of 1:58.90.
He was born in Ballymena, Northern Ireland and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at a young age.
He received The Whang Youn Dai Achievement Award in 2012.
His father and coach, Paddy McKillop, has won the Northern Ireland Sports Coach of the Year award.
He and David Weir both won gold medals at the 2008 and 2012 Paralympic Games.
