Michael Jopling
Politician
British politician and member of the House of Lords. He began representing the Conservative Party in 1964.
He studied at Cheltenham College and Durham University and served on the national council of the National Farmers Union.
In 1997, he was given the title of Baron Jopling of Ainderby Quernhow.
His son, Jay, worked as an art dealer.
He served as the Government Chief Whip when Margaret Thatcher served as Prime Minister.
