Michael Hedges
Guitarist
New Age composer and acoustic guitarist who released the influential albums Breakfast in the Field and Aerial Boundaries.
He studied at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland.
He invented many new styles of playing the guitar, for instance, using his right hand for bass notes and his left for melodies and rhythms.
He was married to Mindy Rosenfeld, a flautist, but the couple divorced in the late 1980s.
His experimental musical stylings have earned him comparisons to the composer Igor Stravisnky.
