He began wrestling in local promotional matches in the late 1970's.
He was known for his mic skills and recorded The Fabulous Freebirds' theme song "Badstreet USA."
He was born in Pensacola, Florida.
He was known early on for doing the Michael Jackson "moonwalk" in the ring.
