Argentine musician and actor who first came to fame in the 80's for his work in the bands Músicos Independientes Asociados and La Sonora del Plata. As an actor, he has appeared in recurring roles on series like Graduates and Viudas e hijos del Rock & Roll.
He formed his first band with pianist Lito Vitale in 1980.
He was nominated for an Argentinean Film Critics Association Award for his performance in the 2002 film Valentin.
He was married to Nora Moseinco from 1985 to 1991. His daughter is actress Violeta Urtizberea. His older brother is actor Gonzalo Urtizberea.
He co-starred with Daniel Hendler on the series Graduates.
