Megumi Ogata

Known for her work in such Japanese anime series as YuYu Hakusho (as Kurama), Neon Genesis Evangelion (as Shinji Ikari), and Sailor Moon (as Sailor Uranus), she also had a career as a singer, producing such albums as Yoake no Jikan and Rain.
Early in her career, she released several 1990s vocal albums, including Marine Legend, Half Moon, and Winter Bird; she often performed and recorded under the stage name of em:óu.
Her deeper-than-average voice meant that she was often cast in male anime roles.
She was born in the Chiyoda ward of Tokyo, Japan. She began her second marriage in 2004.
She and fellow Japanese actress Keiko Kitagawa both performed in various incarnations of the popular Sailor Moon franchise.
