Born Aaron Tyler, he released his debut album, We Come Strapped, in 1994.
He provided the voice for the character of Lance 'Ryder' Wilson in the video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
He grew up with family in Compton, California.
He appeared in the film Menace II Society, starring Khandi Alexander.
