Max Fried

Professional pitcher that was drafted by the San Diego Padres during the first round of the 2012 MLB Draft. He was acquired by the Atlanta Braves via trade in December 2014. Following the 2020 MLB season, he was selected a member of the All-MLB First Team and a first time Gold Glove winner.
He began his professional career playing for the Padres' rookie affiliate team the AZL Padres.
He made his major league debut pitching against the Philadelphia Phillies on August 8, 2017 as a member of the Braves.
His parents are Jonathan Fried and Carrie Fried.
He was high school teammates with major league pitcher Lucas Giolito at Harvard-Westlake High School.
