Business Executive
Business executive and heir to the Gucci brand empire, which he inherited in 1983. Controversy plagued him, and in 1986 he was accused by his uncle of forging his late father's signatures to evade taxes. He fled to Switzerland and was eventually acquitted of all charges. By 1989, he was the CEO of the Gucci corporation, but by 1993 he had sold the company to InvestCorp.
He spent the 1980s in New York City.
In the summer of 2021, Ridley Scott announced a film about the house of Gucci, both as a family and a brand.
He is the son of actor Rudolfo Gucci and Sandra Ravel. He is also the grandson of Guccio Gucci. He married Patrizia Reggiani, with whom he shared two daughters. Reggiani later hired a hitman to kill him. He was fatally shot on March 27, 1996.
