Power forward who has gained fame for his international career playing professionally, including for Zlatorog Laško in 2018-2019. He previously spent the 2018 season with Swiss Basketball League club Union Neuchâtel.
He was named a Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association (OSBA) second-team all-star at age 16.
He was named to BioSteel All-Canadian Game in 2017, where he was named MVP.
His older brother is NBA player Thon Maker. He moved around the world after being born in South Sudan during the country's second civil war, settling in Perth, Australia, Virginia, and Ontario, Canada.
He played alongside Jamal Murray at Orangeville Prep in Orangeville, Ontario, Canada as top high school prep prospects.
