Mattie Moss Clark

Choir director and gospel pioneer who is credited with popularizing the three-part harmony, which has become widely used in gospel choirs around the world. She is the mother of the four women who comprise the world-their gospel group The Clark Sisters.
She started playing piano at age six and was playing at the Holiness Temple Church of Christ in Prayer by age twelve.
She performed live with The Clark Sisters at the 1983 Grammy Awards ceremony.
She was married twice and had a total of six children.
Her daughter Dorinda Clark-Cole has hosted the TCT Network’s Dorinda Show in addition to her work with The Clark Sisters.
