French multimedia conceptual artist whose best- known works included socio-politically themed installations. Awarded the Ricard Prize in 2003.
He received his formal art training at the Ecole d'art de Grenoble.
He hosted elaborate events called Déjà vu Conventions in which celebrity look-a-likes fraternized with real celebrities and artists.
He was born and raised in France and broke into the international art scene as a young man.
He and fellow French artist Joann Sfar were both born during the 1970s.
