He was married to Tracie Duncan from 1989 to 1997 and Michelle Johnson from 1999 to 2002. He married his third wife, Erika Monroe Williams, in 2002. He and Erika have a daughter named Madi.
He was teammates with Luis Gonzalez on the Diamondbacks.
