Professional infielder that was drafted by the Oakland Athletics during the first round of the 2014 MLB Draft. He was an All-Star, an American League Gold Glove winner and a Platinum Glove winner in 2019.
He began his professional career playing for the Athletics' rookie affiliate team the AZL Athletics.
He made his major league debut playing against the New York Yankees on June 15, 2017.
He is a native of Victorville, California.
In 2019, he recorded the second-best fielding percentage in Athletics' history by a third baseman only behind Eric Chavez. He was high school teammates with Nolan Arenado.
