Matt Barlow
Metal Singer
Known for his work with such heavy metal bands as Iced Earth, Ashes of Ares, and the Danish-based Pyramaze, this American vocalist and songwriter had a second career as a Georgetown, Delaware police officer.
Burnt Offerings, his first album with Iced Earth, was released in 1995.
He was featured on Artizan's 2013 album Ancestral Energy.
He was born in Biloxi, Mississippi. His brother-in-law, Jon Schaffer, also had a career as a heavy metal musician.
Although Barlow was the original lead singer for Iced Earth's 2004 album The Glorious Burden, the album was later re-recorded with vocals by Judas Priest's Tim Owens.
